Appointment System now in place
An appointments system is in place for those who have specific questions regarding the Qualifications Recognition service. This appointments system helps ensure that all individuals wishing to access the services of the Qualifications Recognition team can do so in an efficient and timely manner. To make an appointment, you may call us on 01- 8871500 or e-mail info@qualrec.ie. Appointments will be granted where necessary.

Amalgamation News: Interim Website
The Qualifications and Quality Assurance (Education and Training) Bill, 2011 provides for the establishment of a new single national agency, Qualifications and Quality Assurance Ireland (QQAI) replacing HETAC, FETAC, NQAI and IUQB. It is anticipated that the authority will be established in early 2012. A website acting as a single source of accurate reliable information for stakeholders on progress towards amalgamation is now online here. The website will be updated regularly as new information becomes available. Information relevant to the Qualifications Recognition Service will continue to be made available here on www.qualrec.ie

Alignment of awards with the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)
The National Qualifications Authority set out policies and criteria for the inclusion in, or alignment with, the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) of the awards of certain awarding bodies in 2006. Since 2008 a number of UK awarding bodies have had a selection of their awards aligned with the NFQ. Reports listing each of these awards, including the most recent updates in February 2012, can be accessed here.
